Candle in the Night

There are times in one's life when you can't help feeling that your all alone, lost and confused in a  dark, cold world. You seek for help  and comfort from your friends but sad to say you still come up blank. There's still no answer to your probings, no solutions to your problems.
These are the time when you feel the worst. It seems that you're surrounded by people, but none of whom you can turn to for help. It's as if you are walking  down an alley and suddenly find your self facing  all sides of your walls. you're like a trapped animal- there's no way out. This is when you start to feel that the world is crumbling and everything is falling to a pieces around you. You seek refuge, yet there is nowhere to go. You're losing hope. you're conscious of being forsaken, neglected and abandoned. Yet, in the midst of your frustration, there is only one answer. There's one to whom you can turn to for help during this critical moment, only one to whom all your questions, can be  asked and answered' all your seeking  finally stop for you've found what you are looking for. He's no mere mortal. He's the one Almighty, the one who knows all things. He is the one best God Himself. To find Him, however, depends entirely upon you. All you have to do is open your heart to Him. Have faith in Him and never lose hope. Talk with Him when  you feel lose or baffled. when you think you don't know which is the right or wrong anymore, try Him. When you feel you're in a crossroad and don't know which path  to take, He'll surely guide you onto the right way. He's your only salvation, your only source of light in a darkened path.

The Misery of Being Old and Ignorant ( Owen Fellthham )

T, is a capital misery of a man to be at once both old and ignorant. If were only old, and had some knowledge, he might abate the tediousness of  decrepit age by the divine raptures of contemplation. If he were young, do he  knew nothing, yet his years would serve him to labor and learn; whereby in the winter of  his time he might beguile the weariness of his pillow and chair. But now his  body  being  withered by the stealing length of his day and  his limbs wholly disabled for either motion or exercise, these, together with a  mind unfurnished of those contenting speculations of admired science, cannot but delineate the portraiture of  a man wretched. A gray head with a wise mind is a treasury of a grave precepts, experience, and judge. But foolish old age is a barren vine in autumn, or an university to study folly in: every action is a pattern of infirmity: while his  body sits still he knows not how to find his mind action: and tell me if there be any life more irksome than idleness. I have numbered yet but a few days, and those, I know, I have neglected; I am not sure they shall be more, nor can I promise my head it shall have a snowy hair. What then? knowledge is  not hurtful but helps a good mind; anything that is loadable I desire to learn. I die tomorrow, my life  today shall be somewhat the sweeter for knowledge; and if any day prove a summer one, it shall not be amiss to have provided something that in the evening of my age may make my mind my companion. Notable was asked what fruit he had reaped of all his studies " By them, " saith he , " have learned both to live and to talk with my life.

Enjoy Family Life

Do you know any families that are as united and happy as those seen in this tract? families everywhere are coming apart at the seams. Divorce, lack of job security, single parents dilemmas, frustrations-all of these contribute to the crisis. An expert on family life lamented: " By now, predictions on the demise of the family are familiar to everyone.
Why are families today bombarded with such serious problems? How can we enjoy family life?
To answers those questions, we need to know the origin of marriage and the family. For if these had Originator-a Creator-family members should look to Him for guidance, since He would surely know the best we can enjoy family life to the fullest.
Interestingly, many believe that the family arrangement had no originator. The Encyclopedia American says: " some scholars are inclined to trace the origin of the marriage to pairing arrangement of animals below man and woman. " Yet, Jesus Christ spoke of the creation of man and woman. He quoted as authority the early Bible record and said: " what God has yoked together let no man put apart."
So Jesus Christ is right. An intelligent God created the first human and arranged  for happy family life. God brought the first couple together in marriage and  said that the man " must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh".
As you are no doubt aware, the modern world promote self-interest and self fulfillment. " Greed is healthy "., a financier told a  college graduating class. " you can be greedy and still feel good about your self ". But pursuing material possessions doesn't lead to success. Materialism,in fact, is one of the greatest single to family life because it gets in the way of human relationships and drains people of time and money. In contrast, consider how just two Bible proverbs help us to see what is important to happiness.
